Papa's Birthday Party!

So, the day we have been waiting for finally arrived. We had Buddy Greene and Jeff Taylor come and play for Bob's birthday party. Bob has listened to Buddy for 11 years and always wanted to hear him play in person! So we arranged for it to happen! The day started off with freezing fog. Boy, did it look beautiful on the trees, but was not so great helping with travel. Getting Beth all the way here turned out to be an adventure! Anyway, here is how the day looked! Just gorgeous!!

They were finally here and everyone is getting acquainted. Sorry, the picture is a little blurry.

I don't think Bob is really happy that we arranged this, but to bad Bob, tough it out! :)

Beth and Sam came down for this great time! So happy they did!
Getting ready for the concert.
Gabe and Davy were exciting, too. Gabe told Buddy, " I am your biggest fan and you are my favorite instrument player."

Seth, Gabe and Davy
My sweet Toby tended our children, cooked delicious prime rib and helped clean up the kitchen so that I could enjoy myself. I am the most blessed woman on this earth!
The concert is started. These guys are great! If you haven't heard them you have been missing out!

Gabe and Davy got to play egg shakers with Buddy and Jeff. It was great! Both of them had really good rythm!
Mikiala and Kaitlyn (hope I spelled those right) Irish danced to some of the music! They did great!
Buddy and Jeff watched them as they played.

Gabe listening to "the train song". He requested it!

Jeff and Buddy brought stuff for everyone! Very unexpected and sweet! The kids all got a Rufus t-shirt which is one of Buddy's cd's. They both brought and gave us several cd's. Thank you soo much, guys!
Julie with her new Rufus shirt!
Jeff and Noah wearing his new shirt!

Buddy brought the birthday boy a Rufus hat! I think he kinda likes it! :)
I guess I should expain, Jeff plays the accordion, piano, penny whistles, spoons, and the mandolin. I know he plays more than that, but that is what he played for us. Boy, he was great at everything! He was also kind enough to give all of us pointers with the respective instrument that we played. Buddy plays great guitar and I don't think there is a better harmonica player alive today! He is a great song and music writer. He wrote the music for Mary did you know. Anyway, here is Grandma jamming with them on her accordion!

Here is the group. Toby and Michelle were gracious enough to take the photo. Roxanne, Micah and Sam had already left, but this is the majority! It was GREAT!

The final picture! Jeff, Bob, Mom, and Buddy!

Everybody, I had such a good time. Thanks to Mom and Toby who made the delicious food. Thank you to Jeff and Buddy for providing stellar entertainment and for letting us play with you guys! Thanks to Toby for giving me the night off basically. Bob, thanks for liking Buddy so we could experience this. I hope we do this again! Love all of you!
