Dirty!

Messy faces seemed the rage today! Between cookies and dirt we had some DIRTY faces!

Yes, sometimes we call her pigpen. :)

This face has no dirt. It is pure chocolate from a quarter of a chocolate chip cookie! I didn't know you could get that messy from a quarter of a chocolate chip cookie. Needless to say she really enjoyed it!

We are getting ready to welcome our cousins, Taeya and Marlee, who are coming here to live. (Devin and Shyla too) :)

Don't leave me, Gram!

Gram brings her kids over most every Friday while she goes to her cello lessons. My kids LOVE it! Noah is goofing off with a little guitar ornament.Totally playing that guitar!
Another thing he LOVES is Gram and her house! When she came back and told all of her kids to load up, this is what she found.

After I got up into the van and carried him out, I walked up to the porch. The whole time he is crying! As they pulled away, I put him down and he took off chasing them, yelling and crying.

Poor little guy, it was soo sad. Of course when we got inside Gabe offered him a candy and he was instantly better! What can't candy fix? :) We sure do love our Gram!

Lizard Berry Shampoo!

Here is a commercial that Davy and Julie made! Mom and I laughed so hard! Doesn't need any further intro...Enjoy! :)

Davy's baseball game

Yesterday we went to Davy's baseball game. When we got there I found a 5 dollar bill in my pocket about the same time the kids noticed a stand where they could buy popcorn and other goodies. I gave Gabe the money and sent him and Julie to buy what they wanted but they needed to bring me 3 dollars back. Off they ran, and the show began. Gabe thought he was BIG stuff! He went right over there and bought a big bag of popcorn. Got the change and started back our way. Julie than tried to buy something, but the man wouldn't let her since she didn't have any money. So she started chasing Gabe yelling at him that he spent all the money. They arrived back at us at the same time and Gabe handed me 3 dollars. The popcorn had cost 2 dollars and Julie was upset because she hadn't picked anything. I handed her the 3 dollars and told her to pick something out and bring back a dollar. She marched off to the stand and came back with 2 pops. At this time she cocks her little head and says,"I am going to get the rest." There were 6 in all. So we had a huge bag of popcorn and 6 pops. I asked her where the dollar was. She said, "Just a sec." ran to the guy and said,"Where is my change?" He looked at this little blondie in all pink and said," You don't get any change." She ran back to me, informed me of this, and then we shared the pops and popcorn around! :) I love these little things that seems so endearing, but probably everyone else is like, okay, get on with it. So I will. I just love my little people!
Now to Davy. Here he is. I think he is psyching himself up.

Up to bat. He is such a skinny whinny!

He got 4 balls and walked to first base.
Here is our sweet Belle who got her first tooth and pulled herself to standing yesterday!
Gabe and Noah found some boys and played basketball and baseball!
Then....the coach put Davy in to pitch! I think Bob and Mom were more worried than Davy was. This was his first time pitching this year and I don't think he did at all last year. After a little bit of a shaky start he did great! He struck most of them out and no runs were made in the two innings he pitched! No, Bob is not yawning in the picture, he is worried for Davy. Ha Ha!
He was sooo serious and intense about it!

Noah still playing ball! :)
Davy did sooo good!! His team won 7-4! The other pitcher CJ did awesome as well! He struck out a TON of the guys! GO RANGERS!!!!

Mom's house

Okay, here you guys go. My mom has been remodeling her kitchen, but it, the remodeling, has spilled a little bit into the living room and the family room. So here are some pictures. I have tried to give you points of references since it looks so different. Notice to the left of the fireplace are the new bookshelves. Now, the family room and kitchen are basically all one room.
So here is the new refrigerator and DOUBLE oven (yes, I want a double oven!) In front of the oven is the stove top.
The place where there is no cabinet tops is where the cutting board portion is going.
Here I am standing in front of the French doors (used to be the sliding glass door).
Here is the new fireplace.
I am standing in the Living Room looking into what used to be the dining room. Don't you LOVE how my mom has decorated using things like little potty's! :)

The new computer desk in the Living Room.

Standing with my back to the dining room window.
On the left you can see her floor to ceiling storage cabinets.
This is the baking center. It works great! Yesterday we made peanut butter cookies, spread chocolate on the flat part and put vanilla ice cream in between two! Mmmmmm! Good!
Here is the foyer. The new floor turned out great!

Random fun

Miss Belle does NOT want to be in her saucer. It has now officially become a jungle gym. She climbs up into the bottom and plays and then scoots off.
Here is Toby playing Guitar Hero. He is getting pretty good and if I am not careful he will beat me pretty soon. :)

Toby again, yes, these last two pictures are "smudged" Davy took them and somehow the lens got goobered up. Even Belle got into it. You would not believe the voice on this little girl! :)

The band

My little brother, Davy, who is 10, and my kids best friend, spent the night last night. They were excited for Guitar Hero, but Toby told them they had to wait a little bit. He told them they could play with the instruments while they waited. Unbeknownst to me Davy had taken our camera in there and taken video of them. This morning I was looking at the pictures and came across these. I couldn't resist posting them! They are about 15 seconds each and they so will make you smile!

Here is Julie taking center stage in their bedroom!

And Davy!

And here they are just totally rocking out! Who needs the real game when you have sooo much imagination in one room! If you notice at the end of this one, even Belle is in there with the band! Ha Ha!

Just for the record, Davy was a little mortified when he learned his big sis could put this on the internet. I told him, this way Beth can see, he was a little more okay with that. :)

Fun at the River

Yesterday was such a beautiful day! We went and played at the park and moseyed on over to the greenbelt to feed the ducks and geese. The kids started out like this. Later they split up and even tried to pet the birds. (didn't work)Yes, here is our smiley boy who would rather be nana! He like throwing the bread at the birds and hitting them. Yes, he is a boy!
The kids favorites were the babies and there were quite a few of them.
This is our version of the picture above! :)
What a crew!
Belle is trying to get the bread for herself! She is still working on smiling when momma says,"SMILE!" HaHa! After a potty break and picking up Grasshopper ice cream cones at Reed's Dairy, we headed for Grandma Walton's. The kids play and most of us adults play music.

I had to go take these pictures because it was in the high 80's and these three dressed themselves and wouldn't change. Seth is our cousin and Gabe's favorite cousin. They all dressed in long sleeves, but to top it off Seth and Gabe had turtlenecks, pants and cowboy boots. No none of them got sunburned! :)
This is where I asked them who were crazy kids. I think this picture totally captures each kids personality. Julie, hand on her hip, (the other hand is up) very proud to be a crazy kid. Seth, he is such a little sweetheart, not quite as crazy as my two. Gabe, just a little wild man.
When we got home this is what I found when I went to get Belle out of the car! She has to eat her feet these days and managed to get her leg out and then fell asleep!
By now the weather was absolutely perfect so we had to play outside for a few minutes!
And then Gabe started raking.
and Noah
and Julie
It was such a nice day!! We sang songs in the car about our Saviour and had a wonderful time as a little family! I feel so blessed! I know that I say that alot, but I do. It is so easy to look and around and see it! Thank you Lord!
