Halloween

We had such a wonderful little Halloween here. I am not a fan of all the scary stuff of this holiday, but a little good fun is great. That is what we always have at our church's Ammon Antic's party. All four of our kids are so opinionated that getting custumes ready can be quite interesting. We will start with our little Belle. She was a giraffe and such a cute little one walking around. She had to wear this costume, because this momma wanted someone to wear it, so even though it was to big.....she did! She put a smile on numerous faces! She kept grabbing the nose and trying to pull it off of her head. It didn't work so well, because it is attached to the rest of the costume. We let her leave it off and she became happy.
I think the back is the cutest part of the costume. I loved the little tail!

I originally tried to get Noah to wear the costume. As you can tell, he was not keen on the idea. It had no blue on it.....I tried in every way I could to tell him how great that costume was.....
I did NOT succeed. Noah went as......
SUPERBOY (under cover as Snow White)
This costume has blue on it and that is the most important thing in life right now. Blue is his favorite color. It had a cape and it had blue. So Superboy...
He gave us and alot of other people chuckles all night. If you asked him what he was he told you Superboy. His daddy would quietly add once he had wandered off.....under cover as Snow White. We sure do love that boy!!!! Notice the Superboy pose. :)

4 Smith munchkins + 1 good looking daddy = 1 great picture

Gabe was a ninja. Hence the ninja pose. He got this costume about 2 weeks ago and it took me 5 days to get it off of him the first time. Amazingly enough, he took it right off this morning, no hassles.
Julie wanted to be Supergirl, but of course I couldn't find her pink Supergirl cape. Then I found the Snow White costume and tried telling her it was like a Superhero Princess. To this she promptly responded,"It looks like they started making a superhero costume, but forgot and put a stupid dress on it." I found this bat costume and she went as Batgirl. If you look closely she has a beard and mustache she painted on her face. She didn't want anyone to know who she was. I told her Sunday School teachers that and they were good enough to humor her and not recognize her and tell her she needs to shave. That was the highlight of her night! She redid her makeup 3 or 4 times yesterday. All of the kids did their own makeup. We went around our neighborhood, before heading to the church. The kids LOVED it!
At church they always have a pinata for the little guys and one for the older guys. Belle wanted to be in on the action so badly. Once it was broken and the candy rush was over, she went over and picked up the bat and took a few swings herself.

Thank you to Tamara and Blaine crew for all the costumes! The kids LOVED them!!
As we were trick or treating it brought back so many memories for Toby and I. Pillowcases, costumes and snitching candy out of the candy bowl! :) Beth, remember the ballerina costumes Mom made for us. I was so jealous because you got to wear that two years in a row, because you wore mine the next year. I remember dressing up in costumes my mom made us. She is such a talented and wonderful mom! I thought of Beth and Luke, I love you guys. We had such a great childhood! Toby thought of getting lots of candy and how he used to be able to just go house to house all the way to Grandma Evelyne's and back and just be loaded with candy! All in all we had a wonderful Halloween and thank the Lord, for special times like these that He gives us with our little family!
We hope you all had a great day, as well!
